iServer Document Management System
Trimagic’s iServer is an out-of-the-box, browser-based EDMS designed with the end-user in mind to encourage 100% participation in the document management process.
iServer includes the following features:
- clear and intuitive screen layouts and workflows, all within a web browser, meaning an easy to use, familiar user experience with folder trees, dropdown menus, buttons, pop-up windows and baskets
- group, folder and record-level security giving complete access control (edit, read, etc.) to your electronic documents
- ability to create up to 30 of your own fully-indexed metadata fields
- server-based OCR software for full-text hardcopy document indexing
- version control to ensure document integrity in a collaborative environment
- workflows that allow you to issue a document for comments, changes or approval, while keeping a full history of who did what and when
- fast, intelligent searching with the DtSearch engine across file names, metadata or full-text content
- batch document uploading
- integration with indexes to hardcopy, to support a comprehensive search experience
- being a browser-based application, iServer can be accessed by authorised personnel from any browser, anywhere in the world, with no additional PC-based licensing costs.
As well as being fully featured, iServer can be deployed in a number of ways, including:
- Trimagic Data Centre hosting at a Class 1 Security data centre with fully managed backup, monitoring and disaster recovery services, minimising dependence on your internal IT resources
- iServer software installed on a Trimagic server deployed on your own internal network with fully managed backup, monitoring and disaster recovery services provide by Trimagic
- iServer software installed on one of your own servers and fully managed internally by your IT department.
Whatever option you choose, iServer can be quickly implemented, with minimal disruption, as the DtSearch engine is used to search for and replicate your existing folder structure and any metadata. Existing documents are instantly accessible and do not need to be uploaded to the new EDMS, while existing workflows and document management procedures remain valid, thereby maximising the return on your investment.
